SAFE held the 9th press briefing of its project on regional financial integration on 30th September 2013 at Hill View Hotel, Islamabad, where Mr. Aftab Ahmad Ch., Secretary General SAFE ad MD Lahore Stock Exchange Limited (LSE) announced the launch of the project at SAARC office, Kathmandu, Nepal. Informing the media about the Second Multi Stakeholders’ Advocacy Moot of USAID Small Grants Program funded project on developing a regionally harmonized regulatory framework held on 24th September, 2013, Mr. Aftab told the media personnel that SAFE presented the SAARC Secretariat with the Final Edition of SAFE Rule Book and gave a detailed presentation to the SAARC representatives on the project. He further informed the media that the SAARC Secretariat was represented by Mr. Amrit Lugun, Director India and Mr. Ahmar Ismail, Director Pakistan, who appreciated SAFE’s efforts showed SAARC’s willingness and commitment to pursue the policy level changes as part of the political process once this project is concluded. The press briefing was widely attended by most of the media houses of Pakistan.
